PRIMARY PURPOSE:

 

The primary purpose of the Youth Connection Tutor-ARP Homeless II Grant is to support the academic achievement of homeless children and youth based on identified student needs. The tutor will work closely with the classroom teachers in determining appropriate interventions. Tutors are to consult with the classroom teacher regularly to ensure continuity of instruction. Tutor provides one-to-one or small group instruction.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education/Certification:

48 hours or more of college, required

  

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidential information/records

 

Experience:

Experience in tutoring and/or one to one small group instruction, preferred

 

Working Days:  174 / 3 - 4 hours per day (19 hours/week)
