PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To maintain school district grounds, as necessary, in order to achieve a safe, pleasant, and functional outdoor environment. To help maintain the physical school plans in the condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED, required

Clear driving record, required

Valid Texas driver’s Class C license, required

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge in grounds keeping, planting, and maintenance procedures

Ability to operate mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers and other maintenance equipment

Must be responsible and self-motivated

Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in a related field, preferred

Work Days:  242

Hourly Pay Range:

Minimum:   $11.09

Midpoint:    $13.12

Maximum:  $15.15

Note:  Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
