PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Systems Analyst implements technology solutions to ensure McAllen ISD’s enterprise systems and software applications are supporting district processes effectively.  This work includes database administration, system upgrades and implementation, software development, query creation, report management, system integration and automation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology or related field required

Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology or related field preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of information systems required and experience with Skyward preferred

Knowledge of SQL and any reporting platform (Crystal Reports, SSRS, Jasper Reports, etc.)

Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications and VBA

Knowledge of database management software and application development tools

Ability to develop and maintain systems documentation and technical assistance manuals

Ability to work effectively with teams and work independently

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in a technology role required

Daily Rate pay range:

 Minimum:  $  266.96

 Maximum: $  372.46

Note:  Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
