PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As the Senior Instructor, he/she will act in the capacity of department chairperson and chief instructor of the JROTC unit according to national, state, and district standards. His/Her primary purpose is to motivate students to become better citizens. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, required
Certified and approved by U.S. Cadet Command to administer a high school JROTC Program
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subjects assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Retired Commissioned Officer, required
