PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Director of Health Services eliminates obstacles that prevent teachers and school leaders from focusing on instruction by leading strategies that improve student health and promote student learning and daily attendance. The Health Services Director achieves excellence at every school with emphasis in the following student health areas: vaccinations, procedures, health orders, health screenings, health resources, and health initiatives. In addition, the Director of Health Services drives excellent student health outcomes and program quality and integrity by continuously partnering with campus nurses, campus and department leaders, families and community to improve processes and procedures and increase student health program access and awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Valid Texas license to practice nursing, required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, required
Master’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of the overall operations of a school health program
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Act
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in school community/home health, clinical/hospital area, required
Three (3) years directly managing a team in a supervisory role, required

Daily Rate pay range:
Minimum: $ 376.28
Maximum: $ 509.08
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
