PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance eliminates obstacles that prevent teachers, school leaders and departmental staff from focusing on instruction by planning and executing excellent building and grounds maintenance and serving as the energy efficiency steward. As such, they lead the activities of maintenance teams (grounds, construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbling, and general maintenance) to ensure that buildings and grounds are safe, operational, compliant, efficient, and meet the needs of students and staff. In addition, they ensure that preventative maintenance and replacement schedules are managed with fidelity. Specifically, the Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance achieves operational excellence at both the project-level and with every work order with an emphasis on high quality work, swift incident management, energy efficiency, and preventative maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifion
Bachelor’s Degree required
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of basic principles of maintenance, construction and/or custodial operations.
Ability to manage large groups of personnel and large-scale facilities projects.
Ability to implement policy and procedures.
Ability to interpret data and read blueprints.
Knowledge of public school district procurement practices preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
A minimum of three years working in facilities, construction or an operations-related role required
A minimum of two years directly or indirectly managing others preferred

Daily Rate pay range:
Minimum: $ 325.85
Maximum: $ 449.99
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
