PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To help maintain classified and limited electrical work in the condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Journeyman Electrician License, required

High School Diploma or GED, required

Clear driving record, required

Valid Texas driver’s Class C license, required

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Must be familiar with current International Codes and National Electrical Codes

Ability to read and perform work from engineering plans and specifications

Ability to work on electric starters and contactors

Must be familiar with City and Municipal Electrical and Building Codes and Regulations

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in related field, required

Work Days:  242

Hourly Pay Range:

Minimum:   $17.61

Midpoint:    $20.97

Maximum:  $24.33

Note:  Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
