PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Child Nutrition Production Supervisor plans, organizes, and executes strategies to ensure healthy meals are provided to maximize students’ energy, attention, and overall well-being. The Child Nutrition Production Supervisor provides coaching on day to day menu execution and serves as the nutrition steward for our students specifically by providing training and coaching in preparing high quality, nutritious and appealing meals to achieve nutritional excellence. As such, they ensure that daily food production in the school cafeterias and central kitchen are safe, compliant, and efficient to meet the nutritional needs of students to ensure successful learning outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
HS Diploma / GED, Required
Associates Degree or 48 + College hours in culinary, management or related course work, Preferred
Food Manager’s Certification required
Valid Texas Driver’s License Class C, Required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of PK-12 child nutrition programs and systems, required
Knowledge of menu planning, compliance, and adult learner trainings, required
Knowledge of computerized nutritional analysis software system, preferred
Knowledge of quantity food preparation, sanitation principles, inventory control, record keeping, and production schedules, required
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation, required
Experience in modification of menus to meet special dietary needs, preferred
Proficiency in Computers and Microsoft Office, required
Excellent collaboration and bilingual communication skills, required
Strong written, oral and presentation skills required
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills, required
Ability to implement policy and procedures required
Ability to interpret data required
Experience:
Two (2) years experience in institutional food service operations, required
Three (3) years in managerial position, required

Daily Rate pay range:
Minimum: $215.14
Maximum: $303.26
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
