This position is funded through ESSER funds and will be renewed on a yearly basis up to 3 years contingent upon the availability of funds.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To equip students with knowledge and skills in self-care, cognition, trauma, and the ability to create healthy environments and relationships that are culturally responsive, equitable and supportive for the whole child. Funded by ESSER with the primary purpose of supporting grant activities aimed at improving student academic success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master’s Degree in Education or related field, preferred
Texas Counselor’s Certificate or eligible for permit, preferred
Bachelor’s Degree within the social behavioral sciences, required
Valid Texas teaching certificate or permit with required endorsements for subject/level assigned, required
Valid Texas Driver’s License, required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
A working knowledge of the Texas Education Code, related issues and their management, required
excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
Two (2) years' experience in the field of counseling, mental health, social work, or education, required

Daily Rate pay range:
TEACHER SALARY / Per Year plus additional stipend
