MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Communicate the purposes of the Title I Regular Involvement program with teachers, parents and the community.
Assist the principal and parental involvement specialist with planning and implementing the parental involvement program.
Assist the principal and parental involvement specialist to plan, manage and conduct activities, such as Adult Basic Education classes and self-esteem classes for parents.
Inform all parents of Title I Regular students through home visits, letters (both in English and Spanish), or phone calls of scheduled training sessions, conferences, meetings, parent-school conferences, and/or other school-related activities.
Conduct home visits for Title I Regular students on a regular basis.
Assist the principal and parental involvement specialist in organizing the Parent Advisory Council, assist parents in conducting the meetings, and assist at all evening District Advisory Council meetings.
Coordinate services with parental involvement staff from other campuses.
Assist in planning and arranging classroom observations for parents.
Assist with campus parent volunteer program.
Identify resources within the school district, community or county that can provide survival skills for parents.
Conduct student referrals so that the student’s best interests are served at the contact agencies.
Submit all documentation, reports and travel logs requested by campus staff and the Director for State and Federal Programs.
Develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.
Follow McAllen ISD customer service standards.
Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator) in accordance with funding source guidelines.

Hourly Pay Range:
Minimum: $13.00
Maximum: $18.20
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined indvidually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
